My graduation collection ‚the memory of forgotten things.‘ shows that ’old‘ doesn’t mean that it is worn out. It is more important in which light it is placed in.
That’s why I worked with old chair covers to give the old chairs a new life, tell their memories, conserve them in clothing and show the fusion between people, clothing and chairs.
Cracks and abrasion are not negative, they even form the character of this piece and give them a personal touch. In a way that they can tell their own story and memory.
Especially in a world which is being taken over by machines and where everything seems perfect and flawless, the aesthetics of imperfection should be appreciated again.
Imperfection and perfection meet each other.
